Don't quit

Often and in different situations and different places we can tell ourselves: don't quit.

We're not a failure until we fail to try.

We've heard a lot about the love of God; His love for each individual on this earth. He loved me and you enough to save us. He sent Jesus.

Jesus loves the people we don't love - the ones that irritates us, the ones we don't care for, the ones that don't interest us. He loves the ones doing all the things we don't think they should be doing, the ones living lives we wouldn't dream of living.  He wants every one of these people into heaven.

How can we do it?

Live our lives in a way that'll show God's heart for every person we meet? How can we live our lives involved with God's rescue? How can we live our lives in this world connected to Him?

I have doubts and questions.  I often feel the night is dark, I feel the hills are steep, and I often lose my way.  But I don't want to quit.  I want to live with Jesus, and I'm praying that in some way my life will show the love of God, making a difference in someone's life.  In the midst of my ordinary days I'm yearning for a life doing something in His kingdom that might help individuals find their way to Jesus.

It's not about trying, it's about training.

God doesn't want our efforts, He wants to be present in our lives. He wants us to train - over and over again - so we can grow spiritually. He doesn't want actors in a play-like life. He wants us to live forever in His kingdom.  He wants us to grow more like Him.
